Womans Guild Commissioning 2025

The first ministry God assigned to women was to “be a suitable helper” (Genesis 2:18)
for the man, of whom they were of the same substance (Genesis 2:23). The term helper
doesn’t indicate subordination but differentiation and complementarity.
This agrees very well with the first creation account where we’re are told the human
beings were created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis1:26-28). This has great
implications for women in the Lord’s Service because it implies that:
A. Both MEN and WOMEN are created in the image and likeness of God
B. Both MEN and WOMEN were given the responsibility of taking care of the
whole world, and benefiting from it wholesomely
C. Both MEN and WOMEN were given the ability to procreate, that is, powers to
bring forth new life responsibly.
D. Both MEN and WOMEN are called to worship and obey this God who desires
their company and fellowship (Genesis 3:8-10)
E. The seed of the woman will be given the power to crush the head of the serpent
(Genesis 3;15)
As women serve in the Lord’s vineyard, this foundational mandate should act as a guiding
